Experience Tahoe's breathtaking shoreline beaches and trails at Sugar Pine Point, D.L. Bliss and Emerald Bay. Hike and mountain bike on easy trails through forests and meadows in Tahoe National Forest or climb challenging peaks in Desolation Wilderness. Enjoy canoeing and boating on the lake, horseback riding and fishing, the Summer Music Festival, and the farmers market.

Lake Tahoe has the largest concentration of ski resorts in the United States. Ski or snowboard at Squaw Valley USA, Alpine Meadows Ski Resort, and Northstar at Tahoe. Homewood Mountain Resort, owned by Alpine Meadows, offers terrific peak to shore skiing in a family friendly atmosphere. Find miles of machined groomed trails for cross country skiing and snowshoeing in spectacular Sugar Pine Point State Park. Don't miss snowmobiling, off-track skiing, sledding, & ice-skating.
"All visits to the west shore no matter what the season should begin at the Reunion House. "The Cabin" usually holds six to nine of us--all ages--giving us plenty of space to do our own thing without getting into each others way.
The location is close to the lake, hiking and biking trails, markets, restaurants, communities, ski slopes and whatever else you might be interested in. Dominique has all the information you need about these places right there plus she is easy to reach and happy to answer any questions. Breakfasts on the deck wraps you up in the beauty and quietness of the West Shore or if it is snowing just watching it from the cozy interior is a delight.
It is immaculate and so well stocked with every thing you would need we don't bring anything except our clothes---Dominique even provides beach towels. We do not consider it a rental because it seems like our very own while we are staying there. "

"Always a little nervous as to what you find when renting someone's house. This is not the case here. When we arrived it was just as Dominique said it would be. The house was ready for us and is totally stocked. Bring only your clothes, everything else is already there. The kids had a blast milling around the yard in the snow and built little forts. Homewood is the best ski resort for families.
